Digital tool to support Community TB case detection in West Nile
A digital tool designed by OMNI-Software Ltd to support community TB case detection, linkage to treatment, and reporting in refugee-hosting districts through strengthening existing community health systems. The project is being implemented in refugee-hosting districts of West Nile (Adjumani, Moyo, Obongi, and Yumbe).
As part of the project deliverables for the TB wave7 project, BRAC contracted OMNI-Software Ltd to pilot a digital tool that will improve the implementation of community-based TB screening through the existing Ministry of Health processes. Through a real-time, dashboard, the digital tool will give unprecedented real-time access to MoH and district officials for critical decision making. This will also be crucial to other health workers and NGOs supporting TB programming in the district. The purpose of this consultancy was
therefore aimed at creating digital solutions to optimize TB surveillance, screening, treatment, and related services currently provided by BRAC. The work commenced on 16th November 2020
