A Mobile-based System for Monitoring The Functionality of Water Sources in Rural Areas

Mobile for Improved Safe Water access (M4W) M4W (Mobile for Water) involved development of a mobile-based system for monitoring the functionality of water sources in rural areas in Uganda. Developed a mobile-based system for monitoring the functionality of water sources in rural areas in Uganda. Data is collected using mobile phones and analysed by district or national officials using a PC. Community members report water point faults by SMS, where a ticket is generated and tracked using a workflow enabled system.
