The Mutual Inter-related Resilience Programme (MIRP)

The Mutual Inter-related resilience Programme (MIRP) is a mutually inducted programme by both the development and humanitarian actors in the refugee and host communities in the Kikuube district. MIRP is aimed at bridging the gap between humanitarian, peacebuilding and development programmes. MIRP looks at the response to emergencies with a view of sustainability and targets to give long term solutions to the catchment populations.

The programme was aimed at improving the lively hood of refugees and host communities through several interventions that ultimately change their persecution and attitude towards different aspects of life. MIRP interventions are founded on the Community Based Psychosocial support approach which focuses on creating self-reliance, resilience to improve lively hoods and behaviour change in implementing communities.
